Cornel Dyke & Family – Nov. 19-14

On Wednesday, November 19th, the Songwriter Showcase featured the singer/songwriter talents of Cornel Dyke & Family at 7:30 pm.

The Songwriter Showcase was followed, as always, at 8:30 pm, by Open Mic.  Those Open Mic performers this week were Dan Beer, Bruce W. Rudolph, KerryLee Manuel and Earl Travis Taylor (who drew double duty as the evening’s MC).

It all took place at the home of BC Songwriters’ Showcase & Open Mic – the NY Grill & Bistro – 20204 Fraser Hwy, Langley.

On Wednesday, July 30th, the BC Songwriters’ Songwriter Showcase featured Dave Mercer & Conrad Gregoire, swapping performances of their wonderful original songs.  

The BC Songwriters’ Open Mic followed, with Mundania band, Dan Beer, Delaney Rose, Alyssa Baker & Bruce Rudolph each performing a couple of their original songs.

Dale Sawatsky – 07-16-14

Dale Sawatsky - July 16th Songwriter Showcase performerOn Wednesday, July 16th, the Songwriter Showcase featured the prolific talents of singer/songwriter Dale Sawatzky, accompanied by Joy Robertson (vocals), Gerry Teichrob (bass guitar) and Pascal Bergeron (harmonica).

The appreciative crowd at NY Grill & Bistro enjoyed Dale’s songs and the musical talent on display.

After the Songwriter Showcase, the parade of talent continued to the Open Mic segment, with Delaney Rose, Earl Travis Taylor, Warren Hunter, Madeline Sawatzky, Tricia Dunphy & Bruce Rudolph performing.

A great evening, enjoyed by all !!!

On Wednesday, July 2nd, the Songwriter Showcase featured the soulful songs of Delaney Rose at 7:30 pm, accompanied by Will Firstbrook, Don Striez & Lori Firstbrook.

Open Mic followed at 8:30 pm, with the crowd enjoying the songwriting and performing of Open Mic performers: Earl Travis Taylor (accompanied by Will Firstbrook), Warren Hunter, David Borys, John Haynes (accompanied by Terri Breeze), Bruce Rudolph,  Feona Lim (accompanied by Terri Breeze & John Haynes), and Dave Mercer !!!

There was such an overflowing list, that the kind folks at NY Grill & Bistro agreed to stay late and enjoy the show, along with us !!!

The Flying Ritas – 06-04-14

BC Songwriters’ Showcase – Wednesday, June 4th featured The Flying Ritas, featuring lead singer Susanne Tryphena, guitar player Dale Lot & violinist Rick Barker.

Open Mic followed, with Bruce Rudolph, Conrad Gregoire and Peace Of Earth (Sara Bean & Kevin Wellman) entertaining the crowd at the NY Grill & Bistro – 20204 Fraser Hwy, Langley.

Open mic followed, with Sara Bean & Kevin Wellman kicking it off, followed by Jamie Zago, Troy Godfrey and Dave Mercer wrapping it up, at 930 pm.

It was a full house and an overflowing Open Mic list at the NY Grill & Bistro – 20204 Fraser Hwy., Langley.
